The final step in this information management process is Asset Information Model aggregation. There are two steps that the appointing party needs to take:

Aggregate an accepted information model into the AIM.

It is the responsibility of the appointing party to incorporate the information model (previously accepted in the previous phase – chapter 7.8 of this Guide) into the Asset Information Model (AIM). At this stage, the appointing party takes over ownership of the AIM.

In a situation where there is an existing AIM, the appointing party will be required to merge new and existing into a single AIM. Details of this process will be dependent on enterprise systems and their complexity. See clause 5.8.1 of I.S. EN ISO 19650-3 for more details.

Review and continue maintenance of the AIM.

This is an ongoing process led by the appointing party. At this stage, the appointing party needs to decide if AIM has achieved the desired outcome for the Operation and Maintenance phase.

If there is a negative outcome, the appointing party would need to define some mitigation measures to achieve the desired outcome. More considerations under clause 5.8.2 of I.S. EN ISO 19650-3.
